Ayn Rand

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists... it is real... it is possible... it's yours.

Rand (1905-1982) was a Russian-born American novelist, philosopher, playwright, and screenwriter widely known for her best-selling novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. This quote is from Atlas Shrugged. Rand developed a philosophical system called Objectivism that she centered the themes of most of her works around. Her works also advocated rational individualism and laissez-faire capitalism and rejected socialism, altruism, and religion.
