Jack Kerouac

The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the sky.

Kerouac (1922-1969) was an American novelist, writer, poet, and artist from Lowell, Massachusetts. He is amongst the writers best known as the Beat Generation. Though his work received little acclaim during his life, today it is considered important and influential. It has inspired the works of many others and movements such as New Journalism.
